Ford, Christopher John, "Stopher" age 68 of Annapolis, Bay Ridge, died at his home on Saturday, December 26, 2015 following a 4 ½ year battle with cancer. Born in Baltimore to the late John and Helen Puetz Ford, Chris attended St. Mary's Elementary School, White Friars in Cheltenham, England, Annapolis High School and received his degree in photo journalism from the University of Maryland. Chris was the owner of Yacht Canvas, Inc. from 1985 - present. He previously worked for Ulmer Sailmakers and Housely Sailmakers. He married his loving wife Rhonda in 1986. Chris enjoyed life, bicycling to Nova Scotia, sailing excursions south, he was an avid Orioles fan, keeping detailed scorecards of every game, so much so that while attending the 1993 World Series, Howard Cosell asked to use his fan scorecard to report the post game news. In addition to baseball and bicycling he enjoyed fishing, music and dancing and was quite the jitterbugger. In addition to his wife Rhonda, Chris is survived by his son Deane Ford (Rachael) of Shady Side, MD and daughter Brooke Ford of Atlanta, GA. Brothers; Jeffrey Ford of Arnold and John Ford of Boca Raton, FL. Sisters; Mary Ford Laird of Towson, Anne Ford of Marina del Ray, CA and Julie Ford of Los Angeles, CA. Chris was due to welcome his first grandchild, Baby Boy Ford in May 2016.
