Bruce was my friend, neighbor, and summertime co-worker. Several of our classmates worked with him at a beach, and many more knew him from his part time work at Britts. He was a dedicated worker, and I can remember him riding to work, past my house, on his motorscooter, in the rain. He served his country for several years, including assignments in Southeast Asia. When he returned, he relocated to Canaan Valley, West Virginia, where he opened a popular pub and adventure business. We visited him and his brother there in '82, but he moved to Florida after that and I lost track of him.

Bruce passed away in Pensacola on Oct. 10, 1990.
